Bhubaneswar: The center has asked the state government to accelerate the process of land acquisition as the National Highway Authority (NHAI) plans to provide a tender for several important highway projects in the state of the following year.
Union Road Transport and Jalan Raya Giridhar Aramane, in a letter to the Head of Secretary of Sure Chandra Mohaparna said NHAI has recently provided a 125 km long highway project a highway project of 413 km is likely to be given in the financial year of 2021-22.
In 2022-23, NHAI has set a target to provide a highway project with a length of 533 km.
Some of the main highway projects that tend to be given in the following year include the Capital Ring Ring Road, Tangi-Ratanpur stretches from the coastal highway, six chandikhole-paradip stretches, Kesarjhar-Duburi Project, Paradip Cuttack and Sambalpur Ring Road Project, Uniah Secretary Writing .
In addition, two port connectivity projects such as Chhatpur to Gopalpur and Jamujhadi to the Dhamra port also tend to be given for implementation next year.
All of these highway projects are proposed under the center of Bharatmala Pariyiajana and are significant in terms of the movement of goods and social-economic development that is faster than each region.
The source at the office of Bhubaneswar Nhai said the process had begun for land acquisition for the Ring Road Ring and the Coastal Highway.
Ring Capital Ring Project 112 km will connect Rameswar in the Khurda district to Tangi in Cuttack through Govindpur in Dhenkanal, past major cities such as Khurda, Bhubaneswar, Athagarh, Cuttack and Choudwar.
