Shimla: In a large incident of 12-15 houses at the beginning of Dharawed (Malana) Village Kullu Regency in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday late at night.
The fire that began around midnight immediately spread to a dozen houses.
Residents tried to extinguish the fire on their own because it was impossible for a tender fire to reach the village because of the loss of road connectivity.
Regarded as the oldest democracy that survives in the world, Malana Village is located in the plateau along Malana Nullah with an altitude of 3,029 meters and has around 352 families.
According to the information received from the administration of Kullu Regency, Fire started from one of the houses in the village and immediately spread to the nearest houses because all houses were made of forest.
ITBP Babeli, a fire department team and the home keeper team was also in a hurry to be saved after receiving information.
A resident of driving villages in Telephonically told the district administration around 1,48 in the morning that controlling fire became difficult because road connectivity lost because the fire tender could not reach the village.
So far 12-15 houses have been fully destroyed and one person is injured.
Officials said that firefighting personnel to reach the village managed to extinguish the fire from one side of Dharawhed but the fire flared again from the other side after more houses appeared but then controlled.
