HC treats the request to lift the sidewalk jamuna ganga as a pill

Nagpur: Nagpur bench from the Bombay High Court on Tuesday treated a petition submitted by a social worker who prayed to raise the restrictions on the police from the Ganga Jamuna region (GJ) as a litigation of public interest (pill).
Social Workers Mukesh Shahu has challenged the Commissioner of the August 25 police notice which prohibits prostitution activities within 200 meters of public places in the City-Light region.
“Considering the problems involved, we argue that this petition and the establishment of the Applicant, as claimed by him, must be registered as a pill,” said the division bench consisting of Judge Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare.
Bench ask for the Petitioner’s advice – Chandrashekhar Sakhare and PHADKE Priti – to take the steps needed for compliance with pill rules.
Before delaying hearing until November 17, the judges gave them to change the petition, including a prayer clause.
Applicants argue that the arrest and abuse of women from the area became a criminal violation.
“Compete in their small rooms are their fundamental rights and they cannot be prevented from him,” the Petitioner said.
“Their right to live in the area cannot be taken and there is no raid that can be done in places where they live,” he said.
Shahu shows that hundreds of commercial sex workers (CSPS) have been left without a means of livelihood after CP action.
He added that there was no reason to suddenly close the area, which had been around for hundreds of years.
