H’bag Forest Dept. blamed Nhai after the car killed deer

Hazaribag: The Ministry of Forestry on Tuesday attacked the local unit of the Indian National Highway Authority (NHAI) for irregularities in the widening of the NH33 road that passed the Hazaribag Wildlife Reserve a day after the vehicle drove deer.
Sanctuary, also known as Hazaribag National Park, has a good number of deer.
However, the highway slashed it, turned into a disaster for wild animals.
On Monday, the vehicle hit the deer at Hazaribag-Barmhi Stretch, 20 km from the city, hurt it sadly.
Forest officials, who testified of the incident, rushed deer to the local Vet Hospital but it died of injury.
Wildlife Division Forest Officer (DFO), a Chodhury, confirmed the incident, said the deer crossed the western wing of the park to the east near the Salparni Dam gate when the incident occurred.
“Four of the forest guards flowed profusely to the hospital but died,” he said, criticizing Nhai.
A wider NH33 was assigned five months ago because of which vehicle movements have increased here.
“Nhai should build three 700m concessions each in addition to building culverts.
Unfortunately, it did not happen,” Chodhury said, added that to prevent such incidents, the Nhai Hazaribag circle had been directed to the forest fence on both sides of the road.
“The head of the wildlife wildlife will soon visit to decide the long fence,” he said.
