Complaints against hospitals submitted on Covid bills

Written by news2in

Vadodara: A big row erupted with a city-based pulmonologist who accused that a leading hospital in this city had excessive patients for Covid-19 treatment and, at the end, did not resolve its contributions.
Dr.
Sonia Dalaal Pulmonologist approached the city police with complaints.
The City Police Crime Branch has been asked to investigate this problem even as a violation has not been registered.
Dalal accused him of knowing about the advantage of accusations when a patient who moved the consumer forum also contacted him.
He alleged that the hospital had charged a great visit with his name even when this number had not been paid to him.
He moved complaints in August.
“The accusation was completely wrong.
One doctor could not manage Covid-19 in every multi-specialties hospital.
There are five doctors, all of which are superspecialists and they are part of the Covid-19 management team in our hospital,” said Anil Nambiar, an official who works for hospitals.
“There is also a team consisting of 100-150 medical officers who manage Covid-19 patients regardless of support staff,” said Nambiar, adding that he had given his statement to the police.
“Two other doctors also recorded their statements.
They also have the same view that it is a Covid-19 management team.
The cost is in accordance with the notification issued by Vadodara Municipal Corporation and the classification of rooms as well as the VMC guide,” he said.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (crime) D S Chauhan said that hospitals have denied allegations and statements of their officials have been recorded.
“We have been looking for several documents from them to check if there are irregularities,” he said.
