Mumbai: Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) poll in the early 2022, the Civic Agency on Thursday asked residents to make themselves registered as voters in a special encouragement made by the State Election Commission (SEC) starting next month.
In this case, correction names and addresses are also possible.
Residents who will be 18 years old on January 1, 2022, will be eligible to give their voices.
The upcoming poll for 227 BMC seats is expected to be held on February 2022.
The website www.nvsp.in and www.ceo.maharashtra.nic.in is available for registering online voters while the 1950 toll-free number is available for voter registration questions.
The final voter list will be published on January 5, 2022, after completing all formalities related to correction, claims, and objections related to the voter list.
The same list will apply to the upcoming general BMC selection.
“The Indian election commission will make a brief revision of the voter list from November 1, 2021, until November 30, 2021.
In this case, citizens who have completed the age of 18 on January 1, 2022, will be able to register their name in the relevant assembly voter list.
Citizens who meet the requirements must register as voters and help increase the average selection by choosing the upcoming BMC elections, “said the Civic body.
