Hyderabad: Lack of clarity for Covaxin validity among the travelers bound in the US, have placed the city tour agent.
Worried about the fate of these passengers – and the impact on their business – most of them were clear to receive ticket booking requests from people who were vaccinated with two Covaxin shots.

“We got a lot of calls from people who had taken Covaxin and wanted to travel to the US.
At least 50% of our questions consist of such travelers,” said Abdul Majid Faheem, an Indian Federation travel agent (Chapter Telangana and AP).
“But we couldn’t entertain their requests because we were told that they would not be allowed to enter.
If they get a problem, it will have a bad impact on us too.
It will also be chaotic if we have to cancel the last minute,” added Faheem.
Confusion has been made by the World Health Organization that delayed the License of Emergency Use (EUL) to Covaxin.
Who’s Technical Advisory Group meets recently and decides to ask for more data from Bharat Biotech before issuing a license.
Toi spoke with a number of airlines and travel agents throughout the country who said there was no clarity whether the person who was vaccinated by Covaxin could travel to the US if he had a negative RT-PCR test results.
“We hope this problem will be resolved soon because there is extraordinary request for the US today and we do not want to lose in business,” said Faheem.
