Prasagraj: In a large breakthrough, detective special assignment unit (Prayagraj unit) on Wednesday arrested criminals identified as Shamshad aka Sameer, a resident of Sonahi Village in Pratapgarh Regency, civilians allegedly carried out a double murder in Daman & Diu on 2018.
He also brought RS 50,000 cash prizes on his head.
The police have also confiscated cellphones and cash in RS 560 from their ownership.
The defendant was desired by the police in connection with the case listed under Section 341,302, 120 B and 34 IPC and parts 25 and 27 of the ARM acted with the Nani Daman & DIU police station.
A senior STF official told TII that the defendant was desired by Daman & Diu police in connection with a double murder where he allegedly killed two people in the gang war in Daman & Diu on April 1, 2018, and fled.
Criminal arrests were made near Railway Station Road when he planned to escape from the city.
The police said the defendant and his accomplices had killed Ajay Patel and his friend in Dabhel Daman & Diu on April 1, 2018, and fled from there and was in the process, before he was detained.
