Vadodara: The eight-month-old calf was injured by a fast truck on Jalan Raya Vadodara-Halol on Thursday was saved, thanks to the emergency response team that rushed to place through the Mobile Veterinary Pharmacy (MVD).
In the past year, more than 62,000 animals have received free care in the Vadodara district through the MVD.
On Thursday morning, a cow with his calf crossed the road near Amaliyara Village on Jalan Raya Vadodara-Halol when they were suddenly hit by a truck.
A caller, who identified himself as Nakul Vaishnav, and passed the road to see the accident and called 1962 animal emergency lines started by GVK Emri and the Gujarat animal farming department.

They noticed that the calf’s leg was completely damaged.
Without wasting time, they did all operations in place and to save the life of Betis.

Until now, 17 MVDs have been established in the Vadodara district.
“This service has also completed a year from the start.
So far, a total of 62,209 animals have been treated during the schedule (58,944 in 10 villages allocated) and 3,265 in an emergency,” he said.
MVDs have been prepared in Nandesari, Sindhrot, Ramnath in Vadodara Taluka, Muwal, Saraswani, Kambamban, Karamdi in Karjan Taluka, Anandi, Vaniyad in Shinor, Karnali and Simlia in Dabhoi, Amreshwar and Rajpura in Waghodiya, Wari and Champaner in Savli and Valavav and Valavav Varsada villages in Savli Taluka from the Vadodara district.
