Dharamsala: Towards an important climate conference in Glasgow, the Dalai Lama on Sunday said the issues of climate change must be addressed at the global level of cooperatives for everyone’s benefit.
In his message to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change known as the Conference of the Parties (COP26), Tibet Spiritual Leader said realistic actions established in scientific understanding were needed to overcome climate change.
COP26 Summit Starting on Sunday will bring a joint party to accelerate the actions towards the Purpose of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change.
“Today, we need to overcome the future not with prayers driven by fear, but by taking realistic actions established in scientific understanding.
Our planetary residents depend on each other and planted species,” he said.
“We must face climate change problems at the global level of cooperatives for everyone’s benefit.
But we also have to do what we can at the personal level,” he said.
“Even small actions everyday, like how we use water and how we throw away what we don’t need, have consequences.
We must take care of our natural environment to be part of our daily lives, and learn what US science must teach , “he added.
Dalai Lama said he was encouraged to see that the younger generation demanded concrete actions about climate change because it gave hope for the future.
Efforts of young activists such as Greta Thunberg to raise awareness about the need to listen to science and act accordingly very important.
Because of their realistic attitude, we must encourage them, he said.
“Global warming is an urgent reality.
None of us who are able to change the past.
But we are all in a position to contribute to a better future.

“With hope and determination, we must take care of our own lives and all of our neighbors,” he added.

“The threat of global warming and climate change is not limited by national boundaries; it affects all of us.
When we face this crisis, it is very important that we act in the spirit of solidarity and cooperation to limit the consequences,” he said.
“I hope and pray that our leaders will gather the power to take collective action to overcome this emergency, and set a schedule for change.
We must act to make this a safer, greener, happier, more happy world,” he added.
