Glasgow: The UN climate summit in Glasgow is formally opened, kicking two weeks of intense diplomatic negotiations by nearly 200 countries on how to overcome the general challenges of global warming.
After the opening hammer on Sunday, officials began to handle the raft of procedural problems before leaders from all over the world gathered in the largest city in Scotland Monday to describe their country’s efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions and deal with the effects of climate change.
Many problems are being discussed for October 31.
12 Talks have conducted an agenda for decades, including how rich countries can help poor countries overcome emissions and adapt to a hotter world.
The slow rate of action has angered a lot of environmental praise, which is expected to hold hard and creative protests during the Summit.
The president of the meeting that came out, Chile Carolina Schmidt began talks by asking officials to observe the silence of one minute for those who had died because of the Coronavirus pandemic since the last UN climate conference was held at the end of 2019, shortly before the outbreak began.
