Vadodara: Builder who lives on the same-savli road was cheated by Rs 1 Crore allegedly by his partner in a housing-commercial project in Jesangpura Village in Waghodiya Taluka.
Builder Prashant Trivedi filed a complaint of fraud and forgery at the Waghodiya police station on Monday after Mitra Sunil Makhija and his brother Deepak Makhija did not return the money and sell property promised to others.
Trivedi told the police that he became a partner in the project in July 2014 by investing Rs 1 Crore.
It was decided to audit each quarter account and share profits as decided.
Trivedi will receive 10% of profits.
However, the two defendants would not share an account with Trivedi.
So he decided to attract his partnership.
In January 2017, Trivedi was promised that he would be paid by Rs 4.8 Crore in different installments between March 2017 and May 2019.
Duo did not pay the money to Trivedi, but made another agreement with him to give him property instead of money.
According to the New Testament they signed sales for several properties under the project and promised to give him within four months.
Trivedi was not given property ownership as promised and when he checked with the sub-registrar office, he learned that some properties were sold to others.
Trivedi submitted a complaint to the Waghodiya police station, based on which two brothers were ordered for forgery and cheating.
