Rajkot: Investigating into the robbery of RS 6.1 Lakh’s cash from a vegetable trader near Morbi has revealed that traders have committed a crime to get rid of his debt.
On Tuesday morning, Jesinh Solanki vegetable traders had submitted a complaint to Morbi police that he was looted by Rs 6.1 Lakh at the knife point.
He also said the money looted was intended to buy onions from the market.
The police said that Solanki admitted that he had planned a robbery because he had to pay money to several people.
During the investigation, the police became suspicious because of solanky behavior and his response to the question caused by the police.
When the police continued to ask for complicated questions, Solanki lies were exposed and he admitted that his nephew Presta aka Pappu Solanki had robbed him with his friend.
Solanki told the police that he had to pay back money to several people because he suffered losses in business.
His pick-up van was also pawned so that to avoid paying money to people, Solanki hatched a robbery plan.
According to the plan, Solanki deliberately parked his vehicle outside the hotel where the CCTV camera was installed and full of full and his friend could be seen taking money from him in the week-a-knife.
On Wednesday, Solanki was ordered for giving false information to the police.
