Berln: Germany has continued a free Covid-19 test from Saturday (local time), because the country staggered under the fourth wave of pandemic.
It comes one month after the country ended Covid-19 testing for free in October.
The Covid-19 situation worsened in Germany, like many Europe.
The country reported a daily increase of more than 40,000 Covid-19 cases.
According to the German announcer, the country faces the burden of increased Coronavirus cases and therefore the government has made a decision to reintroduce the free Covid-19 test.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), a federal government institution and research institutions responsible for the control and prevention of the disease, stating that 45,081 new cases and 228 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, reporting DW German broadcasters.
After the upcoming fourth wave, the RKI emphasizes building strict restrictions on public life.
In the same context, the Minister of Home Affairs Horst Seehofer has called for a clear set of rules for the country, against the wave of existing viruses.
The number of new cases in Germany, per 100,000 people in the past seven days has reached 277.4.
DW quoted the German Chancellor Angela Merkel who said, “If we show solidarity, if we think of protecting ourselves and caring for others, we can avoid our country well this winter.” “I immediately asked everyone who had not been vaccinated: Please consider again,” he added.
