Paris: France registered more than 20,000 new cases confirmed on Wednesday for the first time since August 25 as the fifth wave of epidemics took speed.
The Ministry of Health reported 20,294 new cases, with a total of 7.33 million and the average seven-day moves from new cases up to 12,400.
A government spokesman said on Wednesday there were no extra restrictive steps on the agenda for now.
The government hopes that high vaccination rates will limit the number of people who need hospital care.
However, the authorities can ask the company once more to use larger homework.
