Mysuru: Heavy rain hit Mysuru under the influence of depression in Bay Bay damaging the main road on the Chamundi hill on Thursday, which widened a landslide reported a month.
The road has been washed away, cutting the only relationship between Chamundi Temple and the famous Nandi statue.
However, worshipers can reach the statue of Nandi on foot taking their steps.
Landslides on the Bukit Chamundi took place for the first time in the early hours of October 21.
Depression over Bengal Bay is expected to cross the beach between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
The Indian Meteorological Department has expected more rain and wind at high speed for the next 24 hours in most South Indians, including many parts of Karnataka.
The Public Works Department confirmed more landslides on the Bukit Chamundi on Thursday.
“The land is saturated.
So landslides continue,” Raju SB’s executive assistant said, adding they could not take improvements to the rain.
