Rajkot: History-Sheeter involved in the making of an enhanced country-made weapons was captured by the Crime Rajkot branch on Sunday to supply a gun to a man in August.
The police arrested Ranchhod Sheikh, who lived in Surendranagar, because he had supplied a gun for one Bhaylu Jalu.
Jalu was arrested on August 4 because he had a gun and he told the police that he had bought a weapon from Sheikh.
Police said that between 2017 and 2019, Sheikh was booked in 26 cases of ACT weapons registered in Surdendranagar only.
“He did not use the weapon itself but made a gun and sell it to anyone who was interested in buying.
In just two years, he had supplied weapons to around 26 people,” Inspector V K Gadhvi from the crime branch.
