Mumbai: Water supply continues to be affected in several parts of the bandra, Khar and Santacruz, for the second day in a row.
Supply is expected to be affected on Monday as a leak in the main line of East Tanssa water 1,800mm at the mahim Creek has not been fully captured, official said.
“We have finished work, but realizes that the leak has not been fully captured.
There is no point in pressing it again, so the water is supplied on Sunday even though the pressure is very low.
On Monday, we will return to take work to capture leaks,” said an official department Hydraulics.
Madhu Poplai, Pali Hill’s population association, complained that many people were forced to pay exorbitant levels for water tankers.
“Some requested up to RS 7,000 for a tanker.
In addition there are up to seven hours waiting for tankers,” Poplai said.
