Gurgaon: Frequent Power Outages, coupled with the implementation of blanket prohibitions on the use of diesel generators given the increasing level of air pollution, has had a negative impact on industrial production in Gurgaon and Manesar.
The Industrial Association said that even though the power situation had increased in recent months, short circuits and stumbled in transformers was still common.

According to industrialists, the prohibition of generators has caused interference in the production cycle and loss of raw materials, adversely impacts on overall operations.
“Every time there is a blackout, we tell Dhbvn officials.
Then it takes time to resume power supply.
Sometimes, it takes one hour or more.
During this time, if we don’t depend on the generator to maintain the momentum of production, we suffer losses,” said the President of the Udyog Industry Association of Vihar Animesh Saxena.
“In addition to losing time, the ingredients that are wasted and certain processes must start from the beginning.

The industry demands that it be used to ensure them from supply without interruption and fast resolution of power failure, or allows them to use diesel generators as an alternative to install gaps.
“A 30-minute blackouts to one hour can affect production.
That is why the industry depends on diesel generator,” said the Gurgaon Industry Association President JN Mangla.
In a meeting that has just been held about the ease of doing business in Gurgaon, DHBVN claims that the average power supply is more than 23 hours and 50 minutes.
It has set aside demand to provide exemptions for the industry from the prohibition of generators.
DHBVN officials claim that most power situations increase in the city and that wrong transformers have also been replaced to reduce the possibility of failure due to infrastructure problems.
“The problem of power blackouts in the city has been aimed at and we work to make a genset free city.
The settlement time to handle power failure complaints also dropped significantly and our staff worked all the time to correct the earliest power failure,” said a senior official DHBVN.
