New Delhi: The cumulative dose of covid-19 vaccine given in the country crossed 118 crores on Tuesday, the UNI Ministry of Health said.
More than 68 doses of the Lakh vaccine have been given on Tuesday to 7pm, he said while underlining the expected calculation to increase with the compilation of the final report for the day at night.
Drive vaccination in the beginning was launched on January 16 with health workers inoculated in the first phase.
Vaccination of frontline workers starts from February 2.
The next phase of Covid-19 vaccination starts from March 1 for people over the age of 60 and those aged 45 years and over with the condition of the specified co-morbid.
Vaccination for everyone who was more than 45 years old was launched on 1.
The government then decided to expand drive vaccination by allowing everyone above 18 to vaccinate from May 1.
