Mumbai: The crime branch has captured the compounder and his girlfriend, who installed a spy camera in a female doctor’s clinic in Dharavi and captured several intimate photos and videos and his girlfriend.
The duo caught using a picture to squeeze a doctor, demanding Rs 5 lakh as pregnant money.
The crime branch unit 5, led by Inspector Ghanshyam Nair, on Saturday captured the compounder, Khan Tahera, and his girlfriend, Shamsher Choudhary, and handed them to Dharavi Police for further action.
The police seized a spy camera, memory card and cellphone used in extortion.
Compounders accused of downloading intimate videos from your doctor and girlfriend and showing it to Shamsher, who then began calling and sending SMS on WhatsApp, demanding RS5 Lakh.
The defendant told the complainant that if he did not pay the money, they would send a video to his relatives.
The doctor then approached Sahu Nagar police, who put a trap for a couple accused of Bandra.
After studying the call detail record (CDR), the police arrested Shamsher and Tahera.
Allegations claimed to have made extortion demands.
They were ordered under the IPC section for extortion, extortion and criminal intimidation, along with charges under the Information Technology Act.
