Coimbatore: The missing cat poster announces a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for information about its existence has become a viral in the city.
Poster with the head of ‘lost cat’ in bold also displays a picture of a six-year-old women’s Persian cat named Jessy and two contact numbers.
The mole on his lips is called a sign of identification of cats.
G Kirubaran, 42, a resident of Ramanathapuram, said he had received more than 100 calls after he put up a poster on Tuesday.
He has attached more than 100 posters throughout the city.
He said most of the call was just about entertaining him while giving him hope that he would get a cat soon.
“The caller from Ramanathapuram Locality asked for more details about the cat and promised to return with information about cats.” The cat lost on November 29.
“I have relatives at my place that day.
I forgot to close the main door and the cat came out without our notice.” Kirubakan, a used car seller, said he had bought a cat for Rs 30,000 in 2015.
Since then, the cat is like one family members.
He has three more cats at home.
Kirubakan spends around Rs 2,600 per month to feed them and several thousand at medical costs and salons to defend their hair.
The cat has helped Kirubakan also gave birth to 21 kitten, where he has sold 18 so far.
“His absence has left a vacancy at home.
Jessy is very obedient and loves.
We are waiting for someone to call and tell us that our Jessy with them.”
