Greater Noida: Great Noida Authority has begun preparation to develop a commercial market complex on the lines of Connaught Delhi near the Chi-Phi sector.
But to be named, the market complex is expected to appear in an area of around 4-5 hectares and will have 2-4 floors.
Of the many designs invited, final approval is given to private consultants.
While the area has many residential and commercial units in the vicinity, it is also almost a few kilometers from Yamuna Expressway, and is expected to get momentum with the commencement of the Jewar airport operation.
Jobs are expected to formally begin the election of post-up assembly next year, officials said.
Narendra Bhoohan, CEO of authority, told TII, “There was a plan to have a large commercial center in Greater Noida as part of its development plan.
Below, we plan to build a commercial hub circular on the lines of Connaught Delhi near the chi-phi sector Which has a wide road on four sides and open space for the big roundabout.
“According to BhooShan, there are many designs invited to commercial hubs.
“But the final approval is given to a personal consultant.
We held a competition among certain leading architects and chose one of their designs,” he said.
“The plan to build a commercial circle is taken because of demand to increase in the area after the announcement of the Jewar airport.” Officials say commercial circles can be developed in the quartet, where more than one company will be employed.
“The proposed area where the commercial circle will appear has a wide road on four sides.
So, we have to decide whether we should go with everything in one or take it one by one and develop in four parts like the quartet.
For this, we can float Four different tenders to maximize the desired results, “he said.
While the authority will work in the details of the costs and tenders before the assembly poll, the official plans to float the first tender on April 1, 2022, and “construction work will begin after the election results”.
