Admin prohibits Diesel-Run Autos in Jamshedpur from January 1

JAMSHEDPUR: Diesel-run autorickshaws in Jamshedpur must pull out of the streets of January 1 next year and automatic drivers will only be allowed to operate if they use CNG-powered vehicles, the East Singhbhum District Transportation Office (DTO) office.
Previously, several union cars in the city had searched for extensions to December 31 deadlines issued by the district transportation department.
However, officials have ignored their requests.
Orders to remove Diesel powered autos were issued in July this year.
East Singhbhum District Transportation Officer Dinesh Kumar Ranjan said, “The deadline will not be extended (exceed December 31).
