New Delhi: The Delhi Court on Thursday guarantees Sharjeel Imam in connection with the violence in Jamia on December 13 and December 14, 2019.
Head of Metropolitan Magistritan Court Saket guarantees to Sharjeel Imam in Fir Nagar No.
296/19 “consider the nature of violations, and the fact that he was not arrested during the investigation, the application was permitted,” said Magistrate Metropolitan Head Dinesh Kumar.
The court asked him to complete the guarantee bond in the amount of Rs 25,000 / – with a number of guarantees.
Because he had not given a bond, the defendant was detained.
He will be produced on January 6, 2022, with ‘Rehnumai’ on December 23, 2021, through video conferencing, the court said.
This case is related to the violence in Jamia on December 13 and December 14, 2019.
In addition, he faces charges in other matters and must remain in prison because the guarantee request is still delayed.
The priest was arrested on January 28, 2020, from Bihar because it would be suspected of being a calm speech and neglect of riots in the Jamia Millia Islamia area in December 2019 Sharjeel Imam currently faced various cases in various countries including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Pradesh Delhi.
