MySuru: One of the Ambitious Projects of the Old Mysuru area is mysuru-bengaloo toll road 10 lanes.
This toll road is expected to reduce travel time between two cities to one and a half hours.
One new feature of this toll road will be 14 EV charging centers to ensure EV drivers do not face charging problems while driving on this stretch.
The central government proposed these centers under adoption and manufacturing faster than hybrids and electric vehicles (FAME) phase II.
Officials believe that the 118 km road will be discarded to the public in 2022 Dasara.
In the answer to the question filed by Tripura and Anurag Sharma Parliament members in the ongoing Lok Sabha session, the Union Minister for the Heavy Industry Krisan Pal Gurjar informed that under Fame Phase II, the EV charging station was proposed in nine toll roads / corridors including Mysore -Bengaluru Expressway.
There are no stations as proposed on other highways in the state.
According to documents distributed by the Minister, until now under the scheme of fame, 48 EV charging stations have been established in the state.
172 other stations will be arranged throughout the state.
Jayavibhava Swamy, MD, Chamundeshwari Electric Supply Corporation Ltd said Cesc Mysore has been asked to establish 10 charging stations in its jurisdiction (Mysore and Mandya Districs).
“We have written a letter to the National Highway Highway site to open the EV charging station,” he said.
“We plan to set up this EV charging station near the restaurant, toll road, etc.
where the vehicle stops,” he added.
Swamy said Cesc MySore plans to work with the association of residential welfare, clubs, etc.
to install the EV charging station.
“We only charge RS 5 per electrical unit used for EV charging.
We plan to hold a meeting with all stakeholders about popularizing EV charging station settings in their place in the next few days,” he said.
