Eou Adg Nayyar Hasnain Khan said he found that Sinha had assets exceeding the known source of income.
“A case was submitted against it and the search order was obtained from the alerting court.
During the attack on Thursday, the team captured documents related to the bank account, investment and insurance details, which did not display while providing the details of the legal source of income,” he said.
Khan added that the number of DA collected by Sinha might increase.
“This investigation is connected to illegal sand mining cases.
The name Sinha has emerged during an Eou team’s investigation when he posted as Aurangabad DTO,” Khan said.
The DA case was submitted against Sinha on Wednesday with the Eou Police Station in Patna under Section 13 (criminal violation by public servants) Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988.
The Eou Special Team was formed under the search deputy after getting a warrant from the court concerned Thursday.
During search operations, savings books and important documents from several bank accounts are restored.
“The team has found that deposits around Rs 10 Lakh have been made recently in a new bank account.
Proof of fund transfer from various sources in his bank account was also found,” Khan said.
He added that around RS 36 Lakh found stored in Bank Sinha’s Wife account on various dates.
