New Delhi: Telecom Trai Regulator has received the highest number of complaints against Bharti Airtel followed by the idea of ​​Vodafone and Reliance Jio, Parliament was informed on Friday.
According to the data distributed by the Minister of State Devusinh Chauhan, the Indian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Trai) has received 16,111 complaints related to service to Bharti Airtel in 2021, followed by 14,487 against the idea of ​​Vodafone and 7,341 against Reliance Jio.
Of the 14,487 complaints against the idea of ​​Vodafone, 9,186 opposed ideas and 5,301 against vodafone.
Data shows that Trai received 732 complaints against MTNL and 2.913 against BSNL.
Chauhan said The Trai Act, 1997 did not imagine the handling of individual consumer complaints by Trai.
“However, complaints received in Trai are forwarded to the service provider concerned for the right action.
Trai has mandated all telecommunications service providers to establish two level / complaint complaints mechanisms to handle consumer complaints,” he said.
Under the complaint complaint mechanism, consumers can file complaints related to services at the complaint center of their telecommunications service providers (TSPS).
If any complaints are not arranged satisfactorily by service providers at the complaint center, the appeal can be registered with TSPS’s appeal authority, Chauhan said.
