England Pace Bowler Stuart Broad said he was disappointed not to play in the opening test of their ash series against Australia even though it fits, but understand the need to stay fresh for the match.
Area and fellow PACE Stalwart James Anderson shared 1.156 goal tests among them but the duo was rested for Gabba’s test, which was lost by England with nine-noves to 1-0 in the five-match series.
“During the last 12 months, Anderson and I tried to make sure we were the same fit with the Covid climate today, ready to go and available for all five tests in Australia.
I think we checked the box,” he wrote widely on it.
