New Delhi: The Board of Jal Delhi has suspended 10 employees and raises 20 outsourcing employees due to the wrong water meter reading.
Previously, the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal directed the relevant official to ensure full transparency in the billing system.
DJB has ordered the FIR to all involved in deviations.
The Outsourcing Agency has issued an exhibition notification and requested by the Delhi government to explain why it should not be on the blacklist.
Kejriwal also directs the Chairman of the DJB Satyendar Jain to ensure full accountability and tighten vigilance.
In accordance with CM’s vision, DJB is truly committed to working for the public interest, Jain said.
“Has come to our notification that some meter readers involved through outsourcing agents have been found to take the wrong reading of several DJB consumers.
The Director (Revenue) with this is directed to end services from all meter readers involved in these illegal activities,” said order government.
Previously, the government received complaints where it was claimed that meter readers took the wrong reading because consumer water bills increased arbitrarily.
As soon as information is received, the audit is launched to identify the culprit.
After that, DJB caught 10 meters of readers who were employed with them to take the wrong meter reading and suspended them with direct effects.
20 outsourcing employees were also found involved in the same and their services were immediately stopped.
Recently, given the complaints of the wrong meter reading, the central school government had made a decision that customer water bills could not exceed 1.5 times the previous month.
If you exceed this, they will be given an explanation from the DJB and the customer will be able to file a complaint in the same line.
Apart from this, the ‘Meter Reading Image Audit’ will be carried out every day in the system by random income officers.
Because of this, the possibility of manipulation in the system will be ignored.
It will also delete all gaps related to existing billing systems.
“This is a revolutionary step taken by the government of the Kejriawal to eradicate corruption and resolve differences in the current system.
This will also help provide a smooth and transparent billing system for Delhi people,” Jain said.
