Beleagavi / Hubballi: After weeks in two thoughts on it, Head of Karnataka Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said the state government would appoint anticonversion bills in the winter session in the Batagavi which began on Monday.
The draft Bill is currently being studied by the Law Department.
In Bellagavi and Hubballi, Bommai said the bill was intended to curb conversion through persuasion and had convinced members of the Christian protection community for other prayers and rituals throughout the state.
“There should be no room for conversion with Allurement to misuse poverty.
The state will blow bills in this session itself,” he said.
He added that after supervision by the Law Department, the bill would appear for discussion in the cabinet for approval and then introduced in the Assembly.
