Bengaluru: BJP is on the way to get the absolute majority in the legislative council if the party’s internal survey is something to pass.
This will allow parties to push some controversial bills and have the chairman and deputy chairman in the top home.
Election up to 25 seats on the 75 member council was held on Friday.
The results will come out on Tuesday.
The BJP Minister, quoted a survey, said they were expected to win 11-14 seats.
“We are bound to win a minimum of 11-12 seats.
Our survey estimates 3-5 more seats for us because we get JD support in some of the main constituencies where the battle between Congress and BJP,” he added.
According to him, the survey estimates that the congress will get 8-10 seats and JD (s) has a chance to win 2-3.
BJP and RSS are known to conduct a pre-and post survey.
While Chairman of the Bakavaraj Bommai Minister has claimed BJP will win a large number of seats, former CM BS Yediyurappa predicted about 15 seats.
The Head of the Shivakumar DK Congress and Opposition Leader Siddaramaak has expressed confidence to win seats 13-15.
If this survey is correct, there will be a change in the composition of the council because seven more seats are arranged to fall empty on June 14, 2022, providing the opportunity to BJP to get full control in the mid 2022.
Because it came to power in 2019, the party sincerely hoped to get the majority especially To push some controversial bills because they believe it will help improve the party’s prospects in the 2023 poll.
The government has also obtained the input of the intelligence department on the results.
