BALLARI: A video of several Congress members who supported members of the Gram Panchayat who returned the Saris and Silver coins to President of President Gram Panchayat had become a viral with a claim that accompanied that the prize was given to them by BJP.
The support of the Congress of the Pancrayat Gram member returned the prize on Friday after the selection of the MLC election was over.
BJP District President Ballari said he did not know the video circulating on social media.
He denied that every party leader had given a gift to anyone in run-up for MLC polls.
The BJP MLC candidate from here is Yachareddy Satish.

In the video, C Basilvaraj, a member of the Gram Panchayat at Hampadevanahalli in Kompadevanahalli, it sounded told the husband of President Gram Panchayat: “We are not stupid selling our voices for Saris and Silver coins for MLC selection.
You can’t buy us through gifts and we never Affected by such feeds.
“Basavaraj has claimed that the prize — silver coins and sari each — were given to 11 members of Gram Panchayat.
“We have never expected gifts from candidates and we are loyal to Congress.
The party is most important to us, not such a present.
BJP leaders may not underestimate the supporters of Congress,” Basavaraj was heard in the video.
Basavaraj and 10 other Gram Panchayat members are Loyalists of the KC Congress Congress Konahah.
“BJP leaders have offered 11 sarees and 11 silver coins to vote for BJP candidates in MLC polls.
But we have returned this prize to BJP leaders,” confirmed N Malikarjun, a leader of the Congress in the village.
Pavan Kumar Malpati, Return Officer for MLC polls and Deputy Ballari Commissioners, is not available for comments.
