Meanwhile, the word war erupted after former Minister of Finance and Congress leader P Chidambaram explored TMC proposals to offer RS 5,000 to a woman per family under the Griha Laxmi.
Chidammaram questioned how the situation with the Debt Crore RS 23,473 at the end of March 2020 could provide Rs 2,100 Crore a year under the scheme.
Rambuttal came a little later with the TMC MP and the party’s goa-in-charge, Mahua Moitra, claimed that Rs 2,100 Crore would be 6-8% of the state budget.
“Rs 2,100 Crore is 6-8% of the total budget, which is very difficult.

Trinamool Twitter handle is also critical of Chidambaram.
“You can continue to do mathematics, while we are busy immersing themselves in serving Goa people because that is what needs time.
Goa deserves good governance and makes sense and it’s time for someone to give it,” he said.
