MySuru: Continuing his scolding against RSS, and BJP, former CM Siddaramaiiah on Saturday said they were fascist and anti-constitutional forces.
Only Congress follows the principles of democracy and secularism, which is claimed.
Speaking after inaugurating a congressional membership journey in his home village Siddaramanahundi in Mysuru Taluk, he said the Congress did politics on the principles of secularism while BJP had pampered itself in communal politics and political hatred.
“BJP does not believe in the state’s constitution.
That is why they often talk about changing the constitution.
BJP anti-poor, anti-dalit, anti-OBC, and fighting minority too.
But Congress is here to serve this socially vulnerable community,” he said.
“When the BJP leaders said they would change the constitution, senior Dalit leaders at BJP including Govind Karjol and Ramesh Jigajinagi never spoke against him.
When I said these leaders joined BJP for selfish benefits, the RSS leaders turned my statement,” he Charged.
“BJP leaders talk about Hindutva.
But they never talked about vulnerable groups Hindu and join Buddhism.
We need to understand these historical facts, “he said.
“If I talk about secularism and democracy, I labeled as an anti-Hindu.
I am a Hindu.
I visited the Siddarameshwara temple in my village.
For me real religion is humanity,” he said, adding RSS is the top caste organization.
He said JD was strong only in four-five districts.
“They have no ideology.
It is not true to rely on other parties because party leaders do not like me,” he said.
