KV Dham to increase local crafts, trade GI tagged products

Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Dham, which has emerged with all his splendor, will not only increase pilgrimage and tourism but also acts as a catalyst to improve the lives of local craftsmen, especially those engaged in the production of marked items.
During his visit to Varanasi for the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be presented by many GI-certified artifacts and products such as Lotus Wood, Zardozi Angvastram and Metal Trishul (Trident) Prepared by Geographical Teachers Under Geographical Guidance Indications (GI) Expert Rajni Kant.
Previously, craftsmen had made beautiful handicraft products for PM and celebrities visiting Varanasi.

Meanwhile, Weavers service center, in connection with the craft service center, has held a local craft and craft exhibition for a week at PT Deen Dayal Hastkala Shankul, Bada Lalpur, from 23-29 December.
According to the committee, the exhibition has been held at the opening of Kashi Vishwanath Dham by PM.
The main goal of this exhibition is to show off traditions and old inheritance from Kashi crafts to visitors from all over the country.
The exhibition will display Brocade Silk Banaras, Saree Sutra Mubarakpur, Durzapur, Wooden Toys and Engraving Banaras, Bhadohi Carpet, Azamgarh Black Pottery, Terracotta in Gorakhpur, and other items from Zari and Zardozi.
