Varanasi: Kashi turned into a fortified fortress because strict security measures launched under the supervision of SPG from Sunday afternoon considering the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the main ministers of many states and guests proprial at the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham Monday.
Police Commissioner Satish Ganesh said security measures were very easy to occur in KVD and on the PM and other VIP routes.
“A fleet of fleet exercises, including helicopters, cruise on the Ganges river and along the way, the Kavalkade will be carried out.
Additional police and para-military forces arrived here for deployment have been briefed,” added CP.

After inaugurating KVD and handling the CMS meeting, PM will go to Swarveda Temple in Umraha to attend the annual function of Vihangam Yoga Samaj, officials said.
After landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, PM will reach the place of Sampurnan and Sansech University with a helicopter around noon and proceed to Kaal Bhairav the temple to give prayer.
He will then reach Rajghat to take a cruise ship to reach Lalita Ghat to enter KVD through Ganges Dwar.
After three hours staying at the KVD opening ceremony, PM will take a cruise for Ravidas Ghat where he will go to Banaras Locomotive Works Guest House via road.
PM will return to Ravidas Ghat to take a cruise ship with CMS, Deputy CMS of countries ruled by BJP and other officials to see the decorated Ghats and Ganga Aarti.
PM will return to the guest house to stay the night and handle the CMS meeting on Tuesday morning.
Traffic and restrictions have been put in place on several routes and therefore Kaushal District Judge Raj Sharma has asked school and college to remain closed on Monday, even though the exam will be held on schedule.
