JOHANNESBURG: South Africa’s Wicketkeeper-Dough Quinton de Kock is set to miss the third test from the upcoming series against India because of the birth of his first child.
The Espncricinfo report on Monday said that the wife of De Kock Sasha is expected to give birth to a child in early January, and remember bio-bubbles and other restrictions, he might miss the second game too.
According to the Cricket Portal, South Africa’s southern election, Victor Mpitsang expect De Kock “to pass the last test”.
South Africa was caused by Indian hosts in the three-match test series starting December 26 at Centurion.
The second test is scheduled to begin on January 3 in Johannesburg, while the last match is scheduled to start January 11 at Cape Town.
The team will then play three international one day.
The last de Kock is displayed for South Africa at the T20 World Cup in the UAE, where it comes out of their second group game after the direction of Cricket South Africa (CSA) to take the knee to support the ‘Black Life Material’ movement.
