Hyderabad: Residents of Noor Khan Bazaar in the old city allegedly on Sunday that they have received contaminated drinking water supply for the past few days.
“The entire population of Noor Khan Bazaar accepts contaminated and dirty drinking water.
One cannot use it at all because it can cause health problems,” Zubair, one of the residents told TII.
The problem was immediately taken to the notification of the authority concerned but nothing was done to overcome the problem.
Other residents raised the same concern, saying that the residents of the Noorkhan Bazaar in front of Chaman got polluted water.
“If the negligence trend continues, there may be any announcement of any disease in the area.
While people are told to be careful to deal with Omicron variants but the type of service and negligence on this problem really hurts us,” said MD Zubair, another resident .
When TOI contacted Khader Mohiuddin, General Manager, HMWS & SB clarified that there was no supply of drinking water in certain areas for 3-4 days.
However, he assured that this issue will be addressed as early as possible on Monday.
“Tomorrow is a day of supplies and I will ask my staff to check and overcome this problem, ” Khader Mohiuddin added.
