Odisha: Hotel employees in Puri are held for filming women in the bathroom

Bhubaneswar: Hotel employees in Puri were arrested on Monday for allegedly filming a tourist woman when she took a shower in her bathroom the day before.
The defendant was identified by the police as a partner BIPLOB (25), the hotel’s household staff was near Harihar Chhak.
In his complaint, the woman, a resident of Sundargarh district, said he had examined the hotel with his family on Saturday.
When bathing on Sunday afternoon, he saw a cellphone near the bathroom vent.
“I immediately got out of the bathroom and saw the hotel staff secretly made the video on his cellphone using a selfie stick.
Because he was arrested, he erased the clip.
When I grabbed his phone and checked whether he had done it, I found a video in the recycle bin,” The woman wrote in her complaint.
He erased the clip from the Recycle Bin before handing the phone to the police.
He also attracted the attention of hotel owners and other staff for this problem.
Complaints say partner phones contain such videos from several other women who have stayed at the hotel.
“I know that partners have worked at the hotel for the past six years.
I was very suspicious that some other senior functional hotels were also involved in this matter,” added the complainant.
Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh said the sea coastal police took a serious record of this problem and immediately captured partners.
He has been ordered based on section 354C (voyeurism), 354D (stalking) and 509 (words, movements or actions intended to insult the modesty of a woman) from the Kuhap Palan India.
“The security of tourists is our top priority.
We have been sensitive to PSISSON to train their staff,” Thesp.
However, Hotel Management D K denied his involvement in alleged crime.

We handed the defendant to the police as soon as we learned about the incident.

In a similar incident, a tourist woman from Gujarat had submitted a complaint to Konark police on December 6, allegating that someone filmed it when she took a bath in a toilet complex near Chandrabhaga Beach.
The Puri Conscious police have been on February 14, arresting an electrician NiChal Bhakta Nivas at the Grand Road to secretly make a video of a woman in a washroom.
