Patna: Minister of Health Mangal Pandey on Tuesday said the dose of vaccine given at Bihar will reach 10 crores at the end of December.
On Tuesday morning, more than 9 crore doses have been given and the additional one crore will be inoculated in the next 15 days, Pandey said.
He said the previous target of six doses of crore in six months should be fulfilled at the end of December.
“We have reached the target.
Now we will cross the 10 dose of crore at the end of this month,” he said during the health department program to put the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects worth RS1,919 Crore by Minister of Nitish Kumar.
Pandey said the 7 doses of Crore had been managed on November 7 and increased to 8 crores in less than a month, on November 28.
“In the next 14 days, one additional Covid-19 vaccine is managed and the cumulative numbers pass through 9 crore-mark on December 14,” he said.
He appreciated the efforts of his department and was credited by CM Nitish for his daily monitoring, which caused massive vaccination, as well as a large number of Covid-19 tests carried out every day at Bihar.
“While in another country, the number of Covid-19 tests has dropped, at Bihar, increasing despite fewer cases.
This is the reason why the country has managed it very well.
Even if the number of tests goes down one day, cm personally asks about it.
, “Pandey said.
In accordance with the data available on the Cowin portal, more than 9.07 doses of crore from the Covid-19 vaccine have been given at Bihar until Tuesday afternoon.
This includes a little more than 5.61 crore the first dose and the second dose of Crore 3.45 Crore.
Bihar has a total of 5.90 crore receivers, which are eligible to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
According to data, 95% of them have taken their first dose and 59% are fully vaccinated.
A health department official said most of them would be eligible to take second dose in December.
