Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Electric Board (KSEB) has issued a circular details of the steps that must be followed by the Board in the event of an accidental council employee occurred while on duty.
Circular stipulates that those who lost their lives while in charge must be given recognition for paying them tribute at the council’s head office on the Martyr Day, observed on January 30.
According to circular which was released last week, as many as 300 workers and council officers died while on duty.

Already mandated that the incident of death at work must be reported to senior officers, including the director concerned, earliest and on the day itself.

In the event of the death of a worker or officer while on duty, the executive engineer division must provide assistance needed for funerals and provide emergency assistance to mourning families.
A senior council official must be present during the funeral / burial of post-death allowances must be provided for the families of the earliest employee.
The ideal benefits are provided on the verge of doors and family members need not be forced to often visit the KSEB office to take advantage of its benefits.
