Ahmedabad: A 35-year-old satellite resident walked past Satyavah Chhavni with two children, when a man driving a car almost hit his daughter.
When he asked him to drive carefully, he allegedly harassed him and threatened to raise him.
Complaints in this case were submitted with the police on Tuesday.
Priyanka Thakur, a resident of Sun Valley’s apartment near Crossroads Ramdevnagar, told the police that the incident occurred when he walked home with his children – Vishujeet, 12, and Rajvi, 6, – from their college class on Tuesday.
Thakur, whose husband is a police officer, said that they walked past Satyavah Chhavni when a man who accelerated in the SUV almost ran past Rajvi.
“He applied the brakes suddenly so close to my daughter that she became afraid and began to cry.
When I asked the man to drive carefully because he almost hit my daughter, the man got out of the vehicle and began to threaten me.
He told me To go ORHE will pull my hair and beat me.
When he began to abuse me, my son objected to it and told the man that my husband was a police officer.
Nevertheless, the man continued to harass me and threaten to raise me publicly.
He said that my husband could not touch it even though he was a police officer, “said Thakur to the police.
Fear of his aggressive attitude, children began to cry.
It caught the attention of people who passed – by those who rushed to save us, he said.
“When I click on the picture of his car, he again threatened me with a terrible consequence,” said Thakur who then approached the satellite police and filed a complaint against the driver of a car that was not known for criminal intimidation and said harsh words.
