Prasagraj: This year, persistent soil erosion on the edge of Ganga and Marshland (Daldali Bhoomi) posed a big challenge for Magh Mela authorities.
While the authorities Mela admitted that River Ganga’s fast water flow this year but corrective steps had begun to deal with soil erosion problems.
The labor team has also been engaged to make Marshland suitable for life.
District Judge (Magh Mela) Shesh Mani Pandey said, “Even though the gangga fast water flow, we make sincere and right arrangements to handle the situation.” He further added, “We will also make arrangements to settle all religious, spiritual and social organizations who arrive for Mela Magh in alternative places and there will be ‘Divya’ and ‘Bhavya’ Mela Magh in 2022.” DM, however, states that the entire Mela campus has been divided into five sectors and land allotment work among various departments, and the organization will be taken from December 22.
DM also ensure that the Mela region will spread in 640- hectares of land as in the previous year and all kinds of facilities will be offered to visitors, fortune tellers, saints and organizations.
Meanwhile, DM, meanwhile explained that the Covid-19 protocol will be strictly followed and the recommended visitors to bring certificates that are fully immunized together with them.
He also said that Mela’s work monitoring has been done every day and our priority is to complete all projects on or before the scheduled time.
According to information, land allotment work for different organizations will be taken as a follow-up – Dandi Swami Nagar, Dandi Bada (December 22), Khak Chowk (24 and December 25), and Acharya Swami Nagar (26 and 27 January).
In addition, land in Sangam Lower Marg, Sangam Upper Marg, Marg Saraswati Marg will be allocated on December 31.
Likewise, the land will be allocated at Annapurna Marg on January 1 and Tulsi Marg and GT Road in 2.
Moreover land in Triveni and River Marg will be allocated on January 3 and January 4.
Land allotment in sector 1, 2, parade, Shastri Gata and Kabir Nagar will be held on January 5 while land in Samudrakoop Marg and Marg which are interrelated (sector 3) and Mer Ramanj and Arial will also be given the same day.
This year, there will be no new organizational entries and only old organizations – Camps on the Mela campus for many years – will be given land on land and suitable sectors.
However, officials claimed that busy preparation was underway to build a pontoon bridge and leveling work almost carried out.
With almost a month left for the initial 47 Grand Religious and Spiritual Fair days, all departments have come up with their blueprint to set mela.
Magh Mela, starting from January 14, will peak on March 1, 2022.
The Mela administration has also put their focus on the calculation area where thousands of kalpwasis from various parts of the country will spend a month in Ganga banks and cover spiritual trips to seek salvation.
A senior Mela official showed that despite the soil erosion, the institution that worked on Land Leveling work had faced swamp land which caused other difficulties to deal with.
He added that even machines such as tractors and JCB were beaten in swamp land and institutions must try hard to face the crisis.
