Panaji: Goa reported 52 new infections on Wednesday and no Covid death.
New infections have lived under 100-mark for two and a half months since October 1, while Daily Covid Death has been zero for more than a week.
This besides 94 late deaths reported last week.
Active case in 391 and has been below 500 for more than 50 days.
District frontpites between 8 and December 11 are 1.9% for North Goa and 1.3% for southern covers, where 59% of positive cases in North Goa and 69% of those found positively in South Goa detected using RT gold standards – PCR testing.
3,615 samples were tested on Wednesday compared to 1,396 on Monday and 2,886 on Tuesday.
One more person was hospitalized and 51 chose to house isolation.
One person was sent home from the hospital and 51 recovered for the last 24 hours.
New infections are seen in Aldona, Candolim, Chimbel, Siolim, Cansaulim, Pernem, Bicholim, Vasco, Porvorim, Mayem, Curchorem, Louletim, Cortalim, Sangoem and Shiroda among other health centers.
Madkai and Cansarvanem continue to have zero active cases.
2,407 other people took the second dose and their first 504 doses on Wednesday.
Goa currently has five Omicron suspects waiting for their genome sequencing test results from the National Center for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune.
One of the suspects comes from a cargo ship whose results must be retested while the other four arrived on flight from England, including 13 years old.
