Thane: a high drama applies in the stand Thane committee on Wednesday late at night, when its members unanimously decided to postpone the meeting as a sign of protest against the government because it failed to allocate the basic budget for basic work in the ward.
This problem was raised by Corporators during the discussion about the construction of the multi-store structure in Thane under the cluster scheme after the selected representative showed why the budget for several approved projects was never released by the administration.
“There are several examples where the project has been removed by the general body and expenses by a permanent committee but the work order is delayed or never released at all.
It has been noted that some approved work takes almost four to five years to get a budget,” pointing senior corporator NCP Hanmant Jagdale.
Corporator Congress Vikrant Chavan also shows irregularities in budget estimates prepared by the administration of multi-background structures even before the design must be resolved.
Even when officials struggled to present a convincing reply to questions, members questioned the absence of city commissioners for important meetings including in the General Agency and regretted that the administration took representatives was chosen as and demanded the meeting postponed.
Chairman and Shiv Sena Corporator Sanjay Bhir also expressed concerns that the administration led by the city commissioner often failed to overcome the problem of selected representatives.
“Some important projects suggested by the Corporator have never received an adequate budget but which is in accordance with the unfortunate priority administration.
We delay the meeting as a sign of protest against administration,” he said.
