Mumbai: More than 3,000 kg of narcotics drugs that have been confiscated during a destroyed period of time on Wednesday by the City Police Ant-Narcotics (ANC) cell.

“The destroyed drugs have been confiscated in 26 cases by anti-narcotics cells,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Dutta Nalawade.
The destroyed drug includes more than 3,000 kg of marijuana, 3kg charas, cocaine, mephedrone, heroin, amphetamine, 11,271 bottle of cough syrup.

After a sanction request, the contrabanded goods seized to be taken to court, if the quantity is small, where the judge commands it to set the truth of the confiscated items.
“If the number is large, a judge can also visit a warehouse where the confiscated drugs are saved to examine it.
As the main evidence, one drug sample is saved for the trial stage,” said an officer.
