Chennai: Former Minister and Organization Secretary AIDMK D Jayakumar has moved towards Madras High Court whoe looking for the State Election Commission to comply with the Indian Guidelines (ECI) Election Commission and make free and fair elections for the body of the urban area.
Justice division bench M Duraiswamy and Justice P D Audikesavalu postponed the trial on January 3, 2022 for the State Commission Advisor to get instructions.
Jayakumar proposed that despite the trial order to install CCTV cameras in all voting booths and safe rooms of EVMS, the State Commission failed to obey orders during the election of rural bodies in the state.
