Kanpur: Towards the launch of Kanpur Metro Services for city people, Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMR) began an inspection of three days from Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Metro Kanpur’s services to the public in front of the Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on December 28.
PM Modi will be the first passenger traveling on the Metro train.
Metro services will be commercially launched only after approval from CMRS.
CMR Janak Kumar Garg, along with other officials traveling with a trolley from IIT until Motijheel ended to check the track on Monday.
Inspection lasts for almost six hours.
MD, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), Kumar Keshav also met CMR at one of the metro stations before the start of the inspection training.
Priority corridor Metro Kanpur Project – nine kilometers long between IIT and Motijheel, ready now.
The four sets of Metro trains will ply between the first two ends.
Then, eight metro trains will run on the designated route.
There are nine metro stations in this corridor.
Each station is ready now and decorated for service launches.
Passengers who arrive at the Metro station will first be asked to buy tickets on the first floor to be checked before allowing to continue further.
The station was elevated so that passengers had to move to the second floor to take the Metro train.
All nine metro stations on this route are increasing.
