Vadodara: A total of 11,738 RT-PCR tests conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory at the state-run SSG hospital in Vadodara have tested the negative Covid-19 in the last 20 days.
The lab run by the Microbiology department has done more than three lakh tests since the beginning of last year’s pandemic.
“The Lab has conducted his first RT-PCR test on March 23 last year on samples collected from the population of Ranu Village from Padra Taluka.
He was referred to the SSG Hospital.
The first sample was tested negatively,” said Dr.
Ob Belim, Nodal Officer Administration for Covid-19 on SSG Hospital.
“From March 23 last year until December 20 this year, the Lab has conducted a RT-PCR test of 3.01,868 samples,” he said.
At present, an average of 350 samples are tested every day.
